Here are two things that may work if you're driving this summer on vacation

Published: June 20, 2012

I got this email from Madison Longust that suggested two items if you have small children and are driving to a vacation destination this summer.

As goofy as they sound, they actually sound like something you'll want.

Kalencom is a New Orleans-based business that markets items for people with small children.

One of them is the Potette Plus ($16) and the other is the Seat Belt Snoozer ($20-$30).

The Potette Plus folds, which makes it portable. In fact, the release said it folds up, has a drawstring bag and you can carry it in a diaper bag or your purse.

Say you're driving and the toddler says he or she has to go potty. You really don't want to stop at a roadside gas station or even a rest area, just in case they are not clean.

So you pop out the Potette Plus and the kid can go while you're driving!

It has absorbent, disposable liners that you can throw away like disposable diapers.

The Seat Belt Snoozers, shaped like the No. 7, attach to your seat belt with Velcro. A child can rest his or her head to a soft pillow-like thingie.

It said as long as your child is out of the car seat, it's usable.

Sounds like I can use it, too.
