The first runner-up is Miss Georgia Cotton, Carly Mathis, who wins a $7,500; second runner-up is Miss Atlanta, Briana Jewett, who wins a $5,000 scholarship; third runner-up is Miss Peachtree, Lauren Edmonds, who wins a $3,500 scholarship and fourth runner-up is Miss Gwinnett County, Annie Walker, who wins a $2,500 scholarship.

9:41 p.m. Michaela Lackey makes her final appearance as Miss Georgia 2011 as she thanks people who helped her during the year.
9:36 p.m. Local media representatives, including Dee Armstrong, Semone Doughton, Sam Beman and Omar Colon, ask questions of the Top 5 contestants. There were two others, but I didn't catch their names.
9:33 p.m. The judges asked Southern Empire's Outstanding Teen, Rosa Karina Campos, to come back and sing "Astonishing."

8:11 p.m. The Top 10 compete in swimsuit. The contestants stand behind a screen, silhouetted by a light before walking on stage.
8:05 p.m. This year's judges include Samantha Mohr, the 1985 Miss Georgia, who is now with the 11Alive team in Atlanta, after a few years at the Weather Channel.
Other judges are Ruth Cate, a South Carolina attorney, who has judged the Miss South Carolina Pageant; Sierra Minott, Miss Florida 2008 and Miss Florida's Outstanding Teen 2005, who is now studying for her master's degree in ministry leadership at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary; head judge Larry Nakano,the deputy attorney general of Hawaii, is the judges' chairman of the Miss Hawaii organization and Ivan Pulinkala, the director of the program in dance at Kennesaw State University, who is studying for his doctorate in higher education administration at the University of Alabama.

7:37 p.m. Georgia's Outstanding Teens make their first appearance, dancing a Lady Gaga tune. They are wearing lilac, peach or hot pink sparkly dresses of their choice.
7:31 p.m. Michael Buble's "Feeling Good" plays for a bit before the usual Miss Georgia fanfare plays as stage manager Jimmy Motos bumbles his way across the stage. Then Beyonce's "I Am Woman" plays as the Miss Georgia contestants dance across the stage and then introduce themselves. They are wearing white, coral or turquoise dresses of their choice.
7:29 p.m. The National Anthem is sung by Miss Georgia 2010 Christina McCauley.
7:28 p.m. Taped messages from Columbus Mayor Teresa Tomlinson and Fort Benning Garrison Commander Col. Jeffrey Fletcher are played.
The 2012 Miss Georgia will be named Saturday night as 33 hopefuls gather in the Bill Heard Theatre.
Georgia's Outstanding Teen will also be named Saturday night.
