Former Glenwood standout Cody Pearcy was cut Thursday by the Atlanta Falcons.

The Falcons signed him as a free agent in late April.

Pearcy played at Division III Huntingdon in Montgomery, Ala.

He left as the school's leader with 147 catches for 2,632 yards and 25 touchdowns.

Pearcy became a pre-NFL draft sensation after video of a workout for pro scouts was posted on youtube.com.
