Though my adolescence was more about Dawson-vs-Pacey, I was an avid if limited fan of "Beverly Hills 90210."
I watched the show until there was an episode about HIV/AIDS and my mother thought my grade school sensibilities couldn't handle the content.
Nonetheless, I saved money for the dolls (Kelly and Brandon) and had a giant floor puzzle with the guys' faces on it and I still remember having the debates with my best friend over who was cuter, Dylan or Brandon (despite my penchant for "bad boys" in my youth, I was staunchly Team Brandon).
So I was pretty excited to hear about the new Old Navy commercials which put Jennie Garth (Kelly) back in her old predicament of choosing between Luke Perry (Dylan) and Jason Priestley (Brandon).
The other "90210" spot features Priestley and Gabrielle Carteris (Andrea).
Cute, huh?
On a somewhat related note, I started watching "Pretty Little Liars" a little while ago and thought it was funny that while several of the actors portray high schoolers, most are in their 20s. And then I think about "90210" and I realize that most of those actors were even older individuals portraying high school students. Strange, isn't it?
