The bad news? Facebook still doesn't have a "dislike" button. The good news? A new Timeline event option on the social media site lets you announce you're expecting a baby.
You know, just in case you didn't already have enough ways to make your friends jealous online.
TechCrunch describes the option, noting, "This new life event for expecting a baby also opens up a new advertising is another sign that Facebook is maturing as its original user base of college kids from 2004 start hatching little ones who can join Facebook 13 years from now."
I'm not entirely opposed to the option, but I'm not sure people need any extra incentives to announce pregnancies on Facebook.
The baby announcements are alive and well. Just look at my newsfeed.
Weigh in: Is the new Timeline event option awesome or annoying?
