Broadway in Atlanta has "The Book of Mormon" in 2013 season

Posted on August 17, 2012

One of the most popular musicals in recent years, "The Book of Mormon," in the Broadway in Atlanta's 2013-14 season. I know, I know. I got excited as soon as saw the release. I thought immediately that it was coming this season.

No, it's next season.

In fact, dates have not yet been set.

That's when the national tour will start.

"The Book of Mormon" comes from the creators of "South Park," Trey Parker and Matt Stone. It won nine Tony Awards last year.

This season's offerings are "War Horse," Sept. 25-30; "Beauty and the Beast," Nov. 27-Dec. 2; "Flashdance," Feb. 5-10; "Million Dollar Quartet," March 12-17; "Mary Poppins," April 2-7 and "Sister Act," April 23-28.

The Broadway in Atlanta series is in the Fox Theatre, 660 Peachtree St. NE.
