Former Pacelli standout Mark LeGree signed a one-year contract with the Chicago Bears, the team announced Monday.
LeGree was signed by the Bears after safeties Chris Conte and Brandon Hardin were injured last week, according to a report on espnchicago.com.
LeGree has been on the practice squad of three NFL teams but has yet to play in a regular-season game.
LeGree was drafted in the fifth round by the Seattle Seahawks (156th overall pick) in the 2011 NFL draft. He was cut by the Seahawks late in training camp before the 2011 season started.
He was signed by the Cardinals, 49ers and Jets to their practice squads during last season. During the offseason, he signed with the 49ers on Jan. 24, but San Francisco waived him on Aug. 11. The Bears play at the Giants on Friday.
