BREAKING DOWN THE Greenwave

The Good: Calvin Arnold knows how to win. He was an All-Bi-City defensive player on some of Charles Flowers' first good teams at Shaw in the late 1990s. And he has been an assistant coach under Flowers.

The Bad: Only 10 starters return from last year's 2-8 team, so Arnold must find a lot of new players.

Our take: Arnold believes he can turn Spencer into a winner. He certainly knows what it takes, but he faces a monumental job in turning around a program that hasn't had a winning season since 1977.
