Calvary Christian 24, Unity Christian 7: Knights overcome four first-half fumbles

ROME, Ga -- Calvary Christian shook off four first-half fumbles and exploded for 18 points in the fourth quarter to defeat Unity Christian 24-7 Friday night.

Duncan Newton lead the way for the Knights. He had a 62-yard punt return for a touchdown in the first quarter. Newton caught two touchdown passes and also had 17 rushes for 85 yards.

Quarterback Jacob Ammons was four of nine through the air for 33 yards and two touchdowns. Rodney Morris had eight carries for 58 yards in the win.

Calvary coach Brian Osborne said the Knights moved the ball well all night and finally opened things up in the fourth quarter.
