I have no shame in admitting I'd attend a romantic date at CiCi's Pizza. That's why I'm glad the restaurant is celebrating Guest Appreciation Day on Thursday, Sept. 6. The buffet costs just $2.99 all day. Columbus locations are at 1660 Whittlesey Road and 1931 Auburn Ave.

I called to confirm the restaurants' Thursday hours. Employees told me that Whittlesey Road location is open 9:30 a.m.-10:30 p.m., while the Auburn Avenue location is open 10:30 a.m.-10 p.m.

What makes CiCi's special? Well, there's the frequent presence of mac and cheese pizza, which is pretty awesome. I also enjoy how buffet employees often approach your table and ask if you'd like a custom-made pizza. Finally, I have a serious weak spot for the desserts.

Do give at least the illusion of being healthy. That means resisting an urge to cover your pizza in Alfredo sauce.
