Columbus Fire & EMS will hold in October a series of open houses at fire stations across the city.

The open houses will give residents a chance to learn about the department’s goals, planning strategies and the services it provides, Fire Marshal Ricky Shores said in a release. People also will be able to ask questions.

Each open house is scheduled from 6-7 p.m. The times and dates follow:

• Oct. 18 at Station 3, 2000 American Way

• Oct. 25 at Station 12, 5225 Cargo Drive
