I know I'm old but I still think that at funerals and memorial services, one should dress appropriately.
But maybe times have changed because the past few years, I've noticed that young women no longer wear black.
OK. It's all right if you don't want to wear all black. Today, I wore a black top and a black-and-white print skirt.
There were young women wearing one-shouldered dresses. A couple of them were wearing spaghetti-strapped dresses.
I made the new widow laugh when I told her that I was overdressed. I should have worn a one-shouldered dress.
