Alabama coaches, athletic director could see raises soon

Special to the Ledger-EnquirerSeptember 26, 2012

— The University of Alabama System Board of Trustees' compensation committee will participate in a conference call Thursday morning to consider ammendments to the contracts of five Crimson Tide coaches and athletic director Mal Moore.

An agenda released by the Board of Trustees doesn't elaborate on the ammendments, but because it is the compensation committee, it likely concerns raises.

The list of coaches includes Alabama men's basketball coach Anthony Grant, who led the Crimson Tide last season to its first NCAA tournament appearance since 2006. The other coaches are soccer coach Todd Bramble, women's tennis coach Jennifer Mainz, women's golf coach Mic Potter and men's golf coach Jay Seawell.

The compensation committee also is scheduled to consider the employment contracts of new coaches Dennis Pursley (men's and women's swimming) and George Hunsack (men's tennis).
