Fitness: You, too, can have 'Paul Ryan Abs'

ssorich@ledger-enquirer.comSeptember 27, 2012

Sick of election season? Here's some bad news: It's invading the gym.

The Huffington Post describes a "Fit For Office" workout that's available at some gyms in big cities. Among the featured exercises: "Paul Ryan Abs" and "Michelle Obama Arms."

The classes come courtesy of MySportsClubs gyms in some New York, Philadelphia, Boston and Washington D.C. locations. The aforementioned Huffington Post article links to a review of the workout, which notes, "While the names of exercises are silly, the circuit-style training is anything but."

And trust me, sometimes it's much easier to power through a workout when it has a silly name.

The workout's existence alone highlights the growing prominence of candidates' approach to fitness. That's a good thing, assuming you still vote with your head rather than your hamstring.
