BREMEN, Ga. -- The Bremen Blue Devils dominated the Jordan Red Jackets 54-14 Friday night. Running the score up to 42-0 at the half, Bremen (3-2, 2-1 Region 5-AA) finally loosened the reigns and allowed Jordan (0-5, 0-3 Region 5-AA) to score two touchdowns before the end of the game.
Bremen's offense totaled 383 yards, with 339 coming on the ground. Jordan's offense totaled 121 yards, with all but 12 coming through the air. Javonte West passed for 101 yards, going 13-for-20 with one touchdown and two interceptions.
Jordan will play at Bowdon next week. Bremen will play next week at home against region opponent Kendrick.
The Blue Devils' ability to win was never in doubt as they scored within the first minute and a half of the game on a Cameron Porter 2-yard rush. Porter scored another 2-yard touchdown on the subsequent Bremen drive, which Bremen followed with a 2-point conversion.
After a punt from the Red Jackets, Ethan Haynes kicked a field goal to bring the score to 18-0. Cody Eller's fumble recovery set up Sean Stassie's 37-yard touchdown pass to Josh Johnson to make it 25-0.
Haynes kicked another field goal, and backup quarterback Trent McClure threw a touchdown pass of his own, this one for 7 yards to Sean Stassie.
The Blue Devils capitalized on Zach Williams' interception when McClure scored on a 13-yard touchdown for a 42-0 halftime lead.
In the second half, Jordan scored on West's 20-yard pass to open and a 90-yard kickoff return. The other players' names weren't available.
