Columbus police are investigating reported rapes of two women on the city’s south side.
A 52-year-old woman told police she was raped Sunday by a man inside her Elvan Avenue home. She was in stable condition Tuesday at The Medical Center in Columbus.
In the second alleged assault, a 22-year-old woman told police she was raped at her Fort Benning Road apartment about 5 a.m. Tuesday. She reported the assault about 12 hours later when she was treated at The Medical Center.
She described her attacker as black. The man was 5 feet, 8 inches tall, and weighing 165 pounds. He was wearing jeans and a black and white-striped shirt.
