Published: October 9, 2012

An employee of the Foxy Lady was followed and later robbed early Sunday after she left her job, Columbus police said.

An unknown man grabbed the 21-year-old woman’s purse from her about 3:40 a.m. at the Big Cat store, 2936 N. Lumpkin Road. The suspect escaped with $300 in cash and the $700 Louis Vuitton purse, reports state.

Police say the woman left the Foxy Lady early that night and noticed a white Mercury Mountaineer that appeared to be following her. The woman drove around with a friend for some time before they decided to visit the Big Cat for something to drink.

The woman pulled into the Big Cat parking lot and noticed the same Mountaineer in the area. She and her friend then entered the store, returning outside moments later. That’s when a man standing outside brushed past the woman, grabbed her purse and ran toward the Mountaineer. The vehicle then drove away, reports state.
