A 13-year-old boy was robbed of his shoes Monday night as he walked home from football practice, Columbus police said.

The robbery happened about 7 p.m. behind the Piggly Wiggly at Brown Avenue and George Street. The Marshall Middle student was walking behind the grocery store when three suspects approached and hit him with their fists in the back of the head, reports state.

The suspects then took the boy’s $95 shoes off and ran from the area, police said.

The suspects are all black men in their mid-20s. Two were skinny while the third was larger than his companions, reports state.

Police said the boy was uninjured. There have been no arrests.
