Wisconsin senior forward Mike Bruesewitz will miss four to six weeks of action after sustaining a laceration to his lower right leg at practice on Tuesday.

Bruesewitz had successful surgery Tuesday evening. He has been released from the hospital and has already begun rehabilitation.

The 6-foot-6 forward averaged 5.6 points and 5.1 rebounds last season.

Wisconsin's first regular-season game is slated for Nov. 11 against Southeastern Louisiana.
