Published: October 11, 2012

It all started with a book signing.

Faith Serafin, of the Alabama Paranormal Research Team, will be signing copies of her book, "Haunted Columbus, Georgia," at Black Lotus Tattoo Gallery on Friday.

Shop owner and artist Coralee Bragg (also known as Lady Cora) said once they confirmed the book signing, they decided to host their annual "Let's Get Spooky" Halloween party on the same day.

From 2-10 p.m. Friday, curious people can stop by Black Lotus, 7401 Fortson Rd., Suite B, for fitness demonstrations, a kissing booth featuring the Knock 'Em Dead Girls, straight razor shaves by Sherrie of Van Dykes, GourMetz Wieners hot dogs, body painting by Dewayne Flowers, a live suspension by the Black Lotus Suspension Crew and more.

Bragg said attendees are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes. The shop will have specials on Halloween-themed and breast cancer awareness tattoos, as well as piercing specials.

There is no cover charge and the event is open to the public.
