The Springer Opera House announces the newest component of its Theatre Academy – Acting Classes for Adults, beginning Oct. 23 and running through Nov. 15. The lineup includes classes in acting, improvisation, film making and parkour.

The classes will meet Tuesday and Thursday evenings at the Springer Education Center, 1017 Second Avenue.

Professional film maker and former director of the Springer Institute Jef Holbrook will teach Film Making. And Zack Wilson and Zack Howard of Columbus Parkour will teach the Parkour class. Parkour combines gymnastics and theatrical movement through an urban environment.

In a press release, Anderson said, “Adults need not have acting experience to sign up for these classes, we are here to offer that. We need adults to bring a sense of curiosity and a desire to have fun – we will provide the rest.”
