Shots fired during robbery attempt on Hensley Drive

A 50-year-old Columbus man was shot at and two other men were threatened during a robbery attempt at a Hensley Drive home.

The man wasn’t injured in the 2:05 p.m. incident which caused $200 in damage on the victim’s front porch.

In a report, police said the man was aproached by two men with masks over the lower half of their faces. One pulled a pistol and fired the weapon more than once toward the man but didn’t hit him.

Two other men also were threatened at the house.

The attackers were described as black, both about 20-years-old and weighing about 140 pounds each. One was described as 5 feet, 8 inches tall and the other 5 feet, 7 inches. They fled in a white or silver car.

Police said the assault and robbery attempt remain under investigation.
