VIDEO: Saturday's drum circle in downtown Columbus

ssorich@ledger-enquirer.comOctober 15, 2012

Several people participated in the Oct. 13 drum circle in downtown Columbus. Here's a short video of some of the excitement.

If you missed it, don't worry. There's another Uptown Drum Circle on Saturday, Oct. 20, from 7 to 10 p.m.

It's definitely worth checking out. Saturday marked my second drum circle in Columbus. Both times I was surprised and impressed by the turnout.

The coolest thing? The attendance spans multiple spheres of our community. It's not a "hippie event" or a "young person event" or even a "downtown crowd event." You see people from so many walks of's pretty awesome.

The Uptown Drum Circles are designed to unite the community, organizers say. Even if it's temporary, you get that sense when you're immersed in the music, whether you're participating or simply observing it.

Don't believe me? Watch this.
