The Columbus Symphony Orchestra gets in the Halloween spirit with its family friendly Treats & Trebles concert. Kids can participate in a costume contest, meet the musicians, trick or treat and play games.
At 7:30 p.m. the orchestra will play a spooky Halloween concert (geared towards children of all ages) at the RiverCenter's Bill Heard Theatre. The costume contest is open to all ages, babies to adults. The best costume winners will receive prizes. Attendees are encouraged to choose costumes that are appropriate for all ages. Prizes have been donated by Sunny 100; Carmike Cinemas; Columbus Ice Rink; Steeplechase at Callaway Gardens; RiverCenter for the Performing Arts; Callaway Gardens Fantasy in Lights and Barnes and Noble. The costume finalists will appear on stage during the concert and the audience will decide the winners by applause.
The concert will feature spooky selections including Rosin Eating Zombies from Outer Space; The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, and Highlights from Harry Potter.
When: Friday, Oct. 26. Activities start at 6:30 p.m. in the lobby. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m.
