Driver killed in 1-vehicle wreck

A Columbus man was killed late Monday in a one-vehicle wreck on Forrest Road, police said.

Isiah Terry, whose 54th birthday is today, died after his 2004 Cadillac DeVille ran off the road at 11:58 p.m. Monday, accident reports state.

According to reports, Terry was driving east on Forrest Road, near Natchez Drive, when his car continued straight as the road curved. The DeVille crossed over two lanes of westbound traffic, jumped a curb and the collided with a stop sign before hitting a utility pole.

Terry’s car then began spinning clockwise, hitting a fencepost before coming to a stop. Authorities found Terry unresponsive when they arrived, and he was taken to St. Francis Hospital where he was pronounced dead, reports state.
