Saint Leo, Fla. -- The Columbus State women's golf team shot a final-round 329 to finish in 10th place in the 14-team Saint Leo Invitational on Tuesday afternoon.
The 25th-ranked Lady Cougars finished with a two-round total of 655 at the Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club.
Nova Southeastern shot a 286 to finish first at 586, six shots ahead of Lynn. Nova's Abbey Gittings won medalist honors at 2-under 142.
CSU's Kimesha Anthony shot a 5-over-pat 77 to finished at 10-over 154 and in a tie for 16th.
Other CSU scored included Kristin Galek (80-162, t-34th), Heather Altiser (82-162, 48th) and Ciera Bagler (90-172, t-52nd) and Kaitie Cross (93-178, t-60th).
CSU men fall from lead to third
Killen, Ala. -- Columbus State held the lead at the TVA Credit Union Classic after the first day, but the Cougars struggled Tuesday and finished third.
CSU shot a 7-over 295 and finished at 3-over 867, seven shots behind North Alabama (282-860) and one behind Rollins (289-866).
Bryan Lichimo tied for the best round of the day with a 5-under 67 to finish tied for fifth at 2-under 214.
Jesse Gibson shot a 2-over 74 in the final round to finish even par and in a tie for seventh.
Stephen Woodill bounced back from having both of his scores not count on Monday to shoot a 4-over 76. He finished at 226 and tied for 32nd.
Yannick Gumowski and Robert Mize both shot 78s on Tuesday. Gumoski finished with a 219 and in a tie for 14th, while Mize came in at 220 and in a tie for 17th.
Columbus State has finished third or better in each event this fall.
