Four units from the Columbus Fire Department responded to an oven fire Wednesday morning at the Cannon Brew Pub, 1041 Broadway, but no injuries or damage were reported.
CFD Sgt. Stephen Funk said the fire was practically out when firemen arrived about 2 minutes after the 10:30 a.m. call. He praised the pub's staff for their proper response.
No customers were in the downtown building when the fire broke out, said the pub's manager on duty, Sandra, who wouldn't give her full name. It still was scheduled to open on time at 11 a.m. for lunch, she said.
