Nov. 3-4: Artists for Pasaquan Weekend to feature art show and sale, tours, music, dancing

The Pasaquan Preservation Society hosts Artists for Pasaquan Weekend on Nov. 3-4. Site tours, musical performances, dance demonstrations, food vendors, and an art show and sale featuring the works of regional artists will be highlights.

Artists for Pasaquan allows artists and musicians to demonstrate their belief in the importance of preserving Pasaquan, while offering visitors one last chance to see this world-renowned art site before it closes for the winter. The complex -- created by Eddie Owens Martin, a.k.a. ST. EOM -- consists of six unique buildings, all interconnected by a series of painted masonry walls, colorful concrete sculptures, and an assortment of interesting landscape elements and plantings. Cameras and picnic baskets are welcome. Barbecue chicken will be available for purchase. The site is located near Buena Vista, Georgia. For directions, visit www.pasaquan.com.

Admission to Artists for Pasaquan is $5 per person, free for kids 6 and younger. Cash only, proceeds go to the preservation of Pasaquan.

When: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4
