STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. -- Calvary Christian stayed even with Community Christian for the first half, but pulled ahead in the third quarter to win.

Jacob Ammons was 4 of 9 for 117 yards and two touchdowns for the Knights. Justin Moss had 15 carries for 93 yards.

Community started the scoring in the first quarter with a 76-yard fumble return by Clifford Richards and an extra point delivered by Katie Davidson.

Calvary answered back with a 36-yard run by Jeremy Walker, who also supplied the extra point.

The Knights scored first in the second quarter as Ammons hit Andrew Walsh for a touchdown, and Walker's kick was good to put Calvary up 14-7.

But Community came back with a 2-yard run by David Nuckolls, and Davidson's second made kick evened the score after the half.

Ammons found Duncan Newton with 29 seconds left in the third quarter to give the Knights the edge.

Community had the ball at the 20-yard line with 15 seconds to go in the fourth quarter, but Ammons intercepted the pass to seal the win for Calvary.

The Knights host Creekside Christian next Friday at 7:30 p.m.
