A 21-year-old Columbus man was shot in the stomach at 27th Avenue and Lee Street early today, police said.

The man was taken to The Medical Center in Columbus after the 12:28 a.m. shooting. He was in unsatisfactory condition at the hospital, officials said.

Police said officers were called to a home on 28th Avenue where they found the man suffering from a gunshot wound to the stomach.

Police said a pistol was used in the assault.

No arrest has been made in the shooting which remains under investigation.
