Columbus police arrested 28-year-old Rodriquez Daniels of Columbus today and charged him with aggravated assault in the shooting of a man early Tuesday.
Police Lt. Lynn Joiner said Daniels was also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
Joiner said the suspect was arrested at his home without incident.
Police say the shooting took place at 12:28 a.m. Tuesday at 27th Avenue and Lee Street.
Joiner said the victim, 21, is still recovering in the hospital from a gunshot wound to the stomach.
