Get ready to celebrate the holidays with Food Network

October 26, 2012

I've spent many Saturday afternoons watching the Food Network and getting tips and recipes for parties. With the holiday entertaining season looming, the lineup looks especially good. Get information about upcoming shows and recipes at foodnetwork.com.

Trisha Yearwood and her family and friends cook up a special Halloween meal on the new episode of “Trisha’s Southern Kitchen” on Food Network at 11 a.m. Sat., Oct. 27.

In the special episode, “Trisha’s Tricks and Treats,” Allie and August Brooks surprise Trisha by arriving in Halloween costumes. They even bring a costume for Trisha. Garth Brooks makes a cameo and shares some of his favorite Halloween stories from years past.

Trisha, the Brooks girls and their friend Kim make their traditional Halloween meal featuring Candied Apples, Trisha's Chicken Tortilla Soup and Pumpkin Roll.
