The 34-year-old mother refused treatment for scratches on her face and a bruise on her upper left arm after 9:30 p.m. attack inside a 20th Avenue home.

The victim told police that she had attempted to discipline her daughter for returning home after curfew when the girl scratched her mother's face and struck her arm with a tire tool. The child admitted to police that she struck her mother.

The girl was arrested and sent to a neighbor's house for the weekend.
