A Columbus woman is accused in a Friday knife attack on a 75-year-old man at this Rigdon Road home, police said.

The man was treated at The Medical Center for several cuts to his left arm after the attack in his living room and bedroom.

Jaymia Alexander, 50, was charged with aggravated battery and giving false information to police. She was held Saturday in the Muscogee County Jail on bonds totaling $5,300.

The woman told police that the man attacked her. The assault remains under investigation.
