Mike Haskey mhaskey@ledger-enquirer.com More than 500 walkers begin a two-mile walk Saturday morning along Broadway in Uptown Columbus during the 2012 Columbus Walk to End Alzheimer's. Many of the walkers carried Promise Garden flowers, with orange representing they are an advocate/volunteer, yellow denoting they are a caregiver, purple signifying they have lost a loved one to Alzheimer's and blue meaning they have Alzheimer's. The 2012 goal is $90,00, with $66,000 having already been raised. The group's website, www.alz.org/walk will be active through Nov. 30 for those wishing to donate. Go to www.ledger-enquirer.com to see if you were spotted at the event. 10/27/12 MIKE HASKEY
