FAYETTEVILLE, Ga. -- The Northside volleyball team came up short in its attempt to extend an historic season for the program.

The Lady Patriots (15-10) lost to top-seeded Whitewater in three games, 25-10, 25-19 and 25-10.

Northside was playing in its first-ever quarterfinal match.

PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. -- The Harris County volleyball team came up short in its bid to advance to its first semifinals in school history.

The Lady Tigers were swept by McIntosh, 25-9, 25-11 and 25-8.

They were led by Lauren Hendrix (3 kills, 2 blocks), Sarah Howard (3 kills), Katie Blanchard (2 kills, 2 blocks), Lindsey Hurst (5 digs), Lexie Mickle (4 digs) and Mollie Burt (3 assists).Saturday at Whitewater
