A 33-year-old Columbus man was shot in the abdomen early this morning while looking outside his bedroom window on Plateau Drive, police said.

The man was taken to The Medical Center where he was listed in good condition after the 12:43 a.m. shooting.

In a report, the victim told police he was looking outside his north bedroom window when he was struck by a bullet.

Two children, ages 6 and 9, were sleeping inside the home when gunshots were fired. Police didn't specify how many bullets were fired before the victim was struck.

The shooting remains under investigation.
