Duncan Newton didnt need long to know the kind of night he was going to have in Calvary Christians 47-28 win over Creekside Christian last Friday.
On the teams first offensive play, he ran for 76 yards. When his night was finished, he had 337 total yards, 282 coming on 16 carries, and four touchdowns.
For his efforts, he is the Ledger-Enquirers High School Football Player of the Week.
Newton spoke with the Ledger-Enquirer on Tuesday about his impressive performance and his teams outlook as it prepares for its first-round playoff game on Friday.
