Two suspects were captured Wednesday afternoon after police were called to a burglary on Sidney Drive, Columbus police said.

Robert Caulton, 18, and Javanti Holland, 17, were arrested near the intersection of Dogwood and Braddock Drive after police chased the teens through the woods from an apartment. Holland and Caulton are charged with one count each of loitering and prowling, obstruction of police and first-degree burglary of a home at 243 Sidney Drive.

Police were called to investigate a burglary in progress when a man was seen entering the home through a side window while a second stood in front as a lookout. By the time police arrived, officers were given a description of two suspects who were spotted walking on Debby Street.

Police ordered the teens to stop but they refused, running to the back side of an apartment and into the woods. After a police chase, both suspects were arrested near the intersection.

Both are held in the Muscogee County Jail for a Recorder's Court hearing.
