Nov. 18: Pie auction to benefit Youth Orchestra of Greater Columbus

A Pie Auction to benefit the Youth Orchestra of Greater Columbus will be held 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18 at the RiverCenter lobby. Forty pies from local celebrities and gourmet chefs, including Chef Jamie Keating, Mayor Teresa Tomlinson, Columbus Symphony Orchestra Conductor George Del Gobbo and organist Rick McKnight, will be auctioned with proceeds to benefit the Youth Orchestra of Greater Columbus.

Before, during and after the live auction, guests may indulge in pies and other pastries by the slice or purchase whole pies to take home for the holidays. Following the pie auction, the Columbus State University Schwob School of Music piano studio recital will be at RiverCenter's Legacy Hall at 4 p.m.

The next Youth Orchestra Concert is set for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13 at the Bill Heard Theater at RiverCenter. It's free for general admission.
