Jennifer Jarrell, 37, of Montgomery, Ala. was killed in a one-vehicle accident on I-85 early this morning.

Lee County, Ala. Deputy Coroner Charlotte Patterson pronounced Jarrell dead at 3 a.m. The cause of death was given as multiple blunt force injuries.

The coroner's report said the accident happened near the 63 mile marker. Opelika police found Jarrell in her minivan with no signs of life. The vehicle was in the median.

According to the report, Jarrell, the only person in the vehicle, appeared to be traveling north on I-85 when she may have fallen asleep and veered into the guard rails in the median and flipped, ejecting her from the vehicle. It appears she was not wearing a seat belt.

Alcohol is not suspected to be a factor in the accident.

The case remains under investigation by the Opelika police and the Lee County Coroner's Office.
