Trailing 13-0 in a region game against Hardaway, Harris County needed someone reliable to step up and take over the football game.
Enter: Running back Esaias Chapman.
Chapman helped the Tigers come storming back in the second quarter and beyond to win, 28-21, tallying 254 yards and three touchdowns. The win was the fifth in a row for Harris County after starting the season 0-4. It will face Thomas County Central (8-1, 4-0) on Friday for the region championship.
For his efforts in the win against Hardaway, Chapman is the Ledger-Enquirers High School Football Player of the Week.
Chapman spoke with the Ledger-Enquirer on Monday.
