A Columbus man was shot at late Monday while sitting in his pickup truck on Alpine Drive, police said.

The 54-year-old man wasn't injured in the 7 p.m. shooting.

Police said the man was sitting inside his green 1983 Ford F-150 pickup when shot was fired at him. Before the shot was fired, the victim said he had complained to a relative about some missing shoes.

Damage to the truck was estimated at $100.

The shooting remains under investigation.
