Arsonist strikes mailbox on Cornerstone Drive

A mailbox on Cornerstone Drive was the target of an arsonist, Columbus police said.

Police said a catalog inside the mailbox was set ablaze sometime between 5 p.m. Tuesday and 7:30 a.m. Wednesday. Fire damaged the mailbox valued at $150.

The homeowner told police the area has experienced some vandalism over the last five years.

Police had no suspects in the arson. The fire remains under investigation.
