Published: November 8, 2012

Three Columbus High volleyball players were honored on Thursday for their 2012 seasons, according to coach Donna Fleming.

Seniors Chandler Barre and Mikayla Swinson and sophomore Brianna Gogins were selected to the Class AAAA All-State team. Only a total of 10 girls are picked for that honor.

Barre was also voted by state coaches to the senior All-Star team. Forty seniors from around the state are selected and divided into four teams. The four teams play a round robin tournament, beginning at 5 p.m. on Saturday at Woodward Academy.

Pacelli's Rehak selected

Sophomore Pacelli lineman Chris Rehak was selected to play in the Offensive/Defensive All-American Bowl at Houston Texans Stadium in Houston, Texas, on Dec. 30.

The 6-foot-3, 295-pound lineman has been banged up for the Vikings over the past two weeks, but coach Randy Grace said he is getting ready to rejoin the lineup at full strength.
