Many Veterans Day free meal deals available today in local restaurants

While many restaurants offered free meals to military personnel yesterday, which was officially Veteran's Day, many others are offering the special deals today. Here's a roundup of some of the offers. Remember, these deals require you to show proof of military service.

MONDAY, NOV. 12

Chick-fil-A in Peachtree Mall is offering a free chicken sandwich if you show a military ID. The deal is available all day, according to the restaurant's Facebook page.

Denny's is offering free all-you-can-eat pancakes to active, inactive and retired military personnel. The deal is available 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Golden Corral is offering Military Appreciation Monday 4-9 p.m. Veterans and active duty military get a free dinner buffet and beverage.

Outback Steakhouse is offering a free Bloomin' Onion and a Coke to veterans and active duty military. This deal continues from yesterday.

Texas Roadhouse is offering a free lunch for veterans and active duty military. You can choose from 10 entrees, plus a choice of any Coca-Cola product, sweet tea/ice tea or coffee. Lunch hours are 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

T.G.I. Friday's is also offering a free lunch. The official website says "veterans, your lunch is on us," but the deal is presumably open to veterans and military personnel. Hours are 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
