ATHENS - They can't help right away, but two players have made it official, signing with the Georgia men's basketball team.

Point guard J.J. Frazier, a point guard from Glennville, and Juwan Parker, a shooting guard from Tulsa, Okla., sent in their letters-of-intent on Wednesday.

Both players are rated three-star prospects by 247sports, Rivals and Scout. But they fill a need, with Georgia set to lose senior point guard Vincent Williams and senior shooting guard Sherrard Brantley.

“We needed to add more backcourt players and I am excited to add these two guards to our team,” Georgia head coach Mark Fox said in a statement.

The 5-foot-9, 160-pound Frazier, who is beginning his senior season at Faith Baptist Christian Academy, averaged 26.2 points, 4.9 assists, 5.4 rebounds and 3.9 steals last year.

"J.J. is a quick and dynamic playmaking point guard,” Fox said. “He has the ability to create plays for himself and other people. I really like his natural instincts for the game.”

The 6-foot-5 Parker, who attends Booker T. Washington High School in Tulsa, averaged 20.5 points and 9.4 rebounds as a junior, and is rated the nation's No. 30 shooting guard by Scout.com, and No. 39 by Rivals.com.

“Juwan is a very complete shooting guard,” Fox said. “His ability to shoot and score will be welcomed on the wing. I feel good about the versatility he will bring to that position for us.”
