Nov. 16-17: NerdaCon at Columbus State University

Flaunt your favorite science-fiction getup for NerdaCon this weekend. Presented by Columbus State University's Campus Nerds, the two-day event will include a costume contest as well as vendors, panels, game tournaments and more. The convention is open to the public. It's family-friendly during the daytime hours.

What: NerdaCon

When: 6-11 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m.-11 p.m. Saturday

Where: Davidson Student Center, Columbus State University (4225 University Ave.)

Cost: Free to attend, but $2 to enter Saturday's costume contest
