A Columbus man was in stable condition after he was knocked out with a wooden board and robbed early Wednesday on Leslie Drive, police said.
The victim, 21, was treated in The Medical Center's emergency room for a black left eye and swelling on the left side of his face.
Police said the man was near Plateau Drive when he was struck with a hard object, likely a wooden board. The robber took more than $1,018, including $680 in cash, jewelry and other items.
The robbery remains under investigation.
