Viloria unifies flyweight belts; Gonzalez tops Estrada

Brian Viloria unified flyweight titles by scoring a 10th-round technical knockout of Hernan Marquez Saturday night at the Los Angeles Sports Arena.

Viloria (32-3, 19 KOs) came in as the WBO champion and took the WBA belt from Marquez (34-3, 25 KOs), who was sent to the canvas in the first round. The fight was stopped at the 1:01 mark of the 10th round after another knockdown.

Also on the card, Roman "El Chocolatito" Gonzalez scored a 12-round unanimous decision over Juan Francisco Estrada to keep the WBA light flyweight belt. Gonzalez (34-0, 28 KOs) won by scores of 118-110 on one scorecard and 116-112 from two other judges' in his fifth title defense. Estrada (22-2, 18 KOs) was in his first championship fight.
